Well, you don't *have* to interact with other players... You could just
ignore them (as long as you don't hamper their own playing expierience,
like killing mobs that they are fighting) and if someone tries to talk
to you, you can just grunt, mumble something and be on your way.
But you can only play it online.

You forgot to add "don't play on a server labelled PvP" too :-P

Well, he could treat the players there like NPCs in 3D-Shooter games.
Might be tiresome for the first levels though ;).

Heh. Cotswold on Mordred is a lot like fantasy quake. Spawn, target,
attack, strafe, die. Spawn....
To the original poster: The new task dungeons are instanced so you can
play all by your lonesome without anyone else interfering. Look for
"Taskmaster" NPCs in the various towns.
If what you're really asking is "is there any way to play offline",
no, there isn't. You have to log onto Mythic's servers to run the
game.

or any other servers. That game is loosing accounts every day. Its the end
of DAOC. Too bad the gave us catacombs a month after EQ2 and WoW.
And raising the price when your loosing accounts wasnt the best idea they
had.
no really, they deserved whats happening to them.

If by "cool" you mean cartoonish then I agree.
I was checking it out at a friends house and I kept waiting for
Yosemite Sam to jump out and start "blastin' me to kingdom come."
