Author 360 wireless adapter mtu problem

I've got the xbox 360 microsoft wireless adapter and it says mtu fails every
time i try to test. it says the setting for mtu must be 1364 or better. my
router is a Sonicwall and the mtu is already higher/1500. if i change the
mtu in the WAN on the sonicwall to make it less like in the 1400s it breaks
the net basically to crappy performance and still does nothing on the 360.

MS says it's not compatible with the sonicwall. is this true? is there
anything i can do to fix this side of getting a new router side of using
ethernet which already works fine.

Answered in another thread in another newsgroup. Posting all over the place
doesn't mean you'll get quicker responses. Check the list of compatible
networking hardware here:

Your router is not among those.

DUH my router isn't one, it's not a router, but a firewall high end
appliance. Also just because it's not listed as compatible does not mean it
isn't. Also microsoft lied to me on the phone. what else is new? man they
suck. they told me it was on their incompatible list, but when i look, what
do i see? not on either.

If you were babbling to MS as much as you are here, no wonder they
couldn't help you properly either.

You're calling it a router when it is not one. I think you need to get
yourself a router which is listed on the compatibility list I posted in this
thread. Otherwise, you're just going to have problems.

For the record, my router is not on the compatibility list, and I have zero
connection issues. And Microsoft has lied to me on the phone as well.
