| Three red lights are indicative of hardware failure. See if this Knowledge
Base article from Microsoft will help:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907534 If it doesn't follow the
instructions to contact Xbox Support.

| I get 3 red lights as well. I've read around and quite a few people, just
today, seem to have the same problem. Very strange. I tried the debug codes
someone suggested and the code was 0102 - unknown error. I guess i'll be
paying the hundred some odd dollars to get this repaired... What's stupid is
that I kept EXTREMELY good care of my system. Froze mid-game in Chromehounds.
Is this a common problem just recently?

| Unfortunately, if you bought your 360 more than 90 days ago, MS will charge
you 129 bucks for the repair/replacement. Folks have complained of this
symptom since it's release, but MS ignores it. I just PAID and sent mine in.
Good luck with your unit. I smell a class action lawsuit in the near future.

What about it? I didn't buy it, nor should I need it. The point here is that
it's a known problem, and should be repaired for free regardless of how long
it took for the failure to occur.

lights...I also treat my Xbox 360 with lots of respect and now this
happens...my Xbox 360 was bought in Dec 2005 after my 6 hrs midnight lineup...
What happens to all my saved games and achievements???

| When you send it back for repair, you keep the hard drive. When you get the
repaired/refurbished unit, plop the HD on and you're all set.
