I'm not entirely sure what is happening. Recently, my Xbox started to
lose its connection to Xbox Live randomly. It would happen roughly
every 3-5 minutes, so I would lag out right in the middle of a game.
Then on random days, my connection would be fine. I connect to my
router wirelessly. Sometimes, when my brother plays Runescape on his
PC, he loses his connection right when I do. His PC is wired
(Ethernet). When I'm not on XBL, he has no problem. It's really
weird. I'm not affected on my computer also connected by wireless,
except for the odd occasion.

I'm not really sure whats going on. Maybe Optimum is throttling my
connection because I download a lot off BitTorrent via Azureus?

Thanks in advance.

You might check with your Internet Service Provider. It sounds like, as you
said, maybe throttling of the account, or perhaps they've got something
wrong in their settings.

You also may wanna check and see if you spoofed the Mac address, on the Xbox
using that from the pc.. That may be kicking both off the network.
