Well, I wouldn't argue with anything you're saying(personally, I'm
hoping to back HD DVD, but we'll see how the market goes) but you've
got to see it the way the dumb-XXX American public does:
Blu Ray Player - $1,000
HD DVD Player - $500
Idiots: Wow, BR more expensive, so it's *gotta* be better!!!
With that in mind, the fact that the PS3 can play BR movies at *only*
$600 is a major plus. I'm still waiting to see what MS is going to
charge for the external HD DVD player...in the meantime, my upscaling
DVD player is doing me quite well. ;)
