xbox board ultimate boot cd ......help please

| Hi to all
Had the Xbox now for 18 months, I had it modded today.
When I turned it on I had a different dash board, I presumed that it was
installed at the same time.
I have a copy of "Xbox board ultimate boot cd v4"
I installed it just like the instructions said (I went for the full install)
after installing it told me to re-boot, but it now just boots to the default
ms-dash board
When I reboot and press a,b or x (to get different dash boards) nothing
happens.
It now wont read the "Xbox board ultimate boot cd" disk
Hope this all make sense

| Sounds like you've installed something you shouldn't have done. The
Dashboard was updated a few weeks back, and has some very good features like
a queue for downloads, and telling the machine not to boot a disk in the
drive on startup. I'd suggest calling your Xbox Support and telling them
what you've done, and have them guide you into fixing it. Go here for

First of all, what type of mod do you have installed? If you're using a
chip, it's important to know what type of chip and what ROM image is in
use. If you're not using a chip, then you need to know if you have a
software mod only, or a TSOP chip flash mod. Then you have to make sure
that the disc you're using to build your hard drive image is compatible
with that type of mod. The name of the CD doesn't really help, since it
doesn't identify the purpose of the boot disc or the code it contains.
It sounds like your XBox has defaulted back to the OEM state, which means
that it'll only read official media. It's hard to give you any advice
about troubleshooting without knowing more about the variety of mod you
have installed.
