Hi,
90% of the time I walk into my games room, pick up my controller
and hit the xbox centre button to turn it on. The Xbox 360 lights up
for a bit and finally does nothing with the button right button showing
up red.
Originally I said 90% of the time as occassionally it does work fine
starting with the controller. But I usually end up having to stop the
xbox with
the button on the console itself and then press it again to startup.
This then works fine.
I should also note this weird behaviour in that I can turn off and on
with
controller while the machine is still warm till my hearts content. Just
happens on the first power on of the day.

I looked around this particular light seems to indicate a HDD fault.
So I disconnect and reconnect it to be doubly sure but has not helped.
Since day 1 (March) my console has sat in the same spot and the problem
has
been around ever since. Its just now really getting to me.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Luke

I'd suggest you use http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/contact/default.htm to
contact the support folks to get their input. Doesn't sound right at all.
