Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter bugs? Help!

| I'm in the mission where you're on the rooftops, trying to guide the tanks.
I can't save the game when I get to the checkpoint. It always takes me
back to the previous save. What good are checkpoints if you can't do a
hard save of the game there?
More important, I've killed all the enemies on the roof, but I can't get
down. If I even try to go to the edge of the roof, I get that message
saying I'm going outside of the battle area. I can see no way to get down
to the checkpoint at ground level.
I've heard that a chopper is supposed to come and pluck me off the roof.
But it doesn't come. I've been playing for days and there's no sign of it.
I'm sick of replaying this level. It was fun at first, but now I want to
move on. Does anybody know what I can do? Thanks.

Have you crossed the bridge? There is a bridge from one rooftop to the
other somewhere. There are enemies on the ground there. You have to kill
those as well before the chopper will come.

Furthermore there is a glitch in that level where the chopper doesn't
come. It didn't appear with me, but I read about it. If I recall well,
there isn't a lot to do, but to restart the mission.
One lame solution could be to use a cheat to unlock all missions ( Y,
RB, Y, RB, X at the mission select screen). At least you can play the
remaining mission then (I think you will still get the achievements).

| He can also use the "God" mode cheat, to just get past that, and still get
the achievement.
For Scott Mitchell only;
Press start during the game and while on the pause menu hold the back
button, left trigger, and right trigger all at the same time, then click Y,
Y, X, R-Bumper, X, L-Bumper, you then should then hear a "ding" sound to
confirm.

| The real solution ...
make sure the tanks on the road have killed all the enemys on the ground.
My brother went through this same problem last night. Once you kill them,
you get the checkpoint, the coptor appears, and all is well with the world.
