Author Transfer online content from HD to HD?

Not sure if this has been covered already or not..

Is there a way to transfer downloaded online content like demos and trailers
to a different storage device?

When I go to download I can select another storage device but since I have
the basic HD that's all I can select.
I'm thinking about starting to use an external USB 2.0 HD in case. But how
would I transfer all the content I've already downloaded to that new
external drive?

Is this possible?

Probably not since the content of the usb hd could be viewed on a pc... and
M$ will be protecting access for piracy reasons, as ultimately info saved
off could be modified and then put back on the xbox...

Will also be the case that when larger hd's are available there wont be
anyway of transferring your existing info... it will all be lost...

Unless of course you get a SATA adapter to connect it to your PC (being
produced soon I hear) to use Connect360 or just open it up and connect
it to your PC that way. Either way it's either gonna cost or invalidate
your warranty...

Not true. USB storage devices (HD or memorycards(readers)/sticks) can be
(legaly) used to store&play video and music files. (not sure about
demo's though, but definately not games).

A (third party) xbox360 explorer program is under developement to make
the exchange of files easier.

I was only considering demos and trailers, which I'm fairly sure cannot
be transferred to or downloaded onto non-xbox storage devices, and would
therefore need to be copied via direct access to either the hard disk or
a memory card (if the file is small enough). Direct access seems only to
be possible using the Connect360 app with the hard disk attached to a
PC, either directly (take the casing off) or using an adapter (paid for).
