Fight Night Round 3

| Does this game look sweet in real-time?
I've seen the stills, the boxers look about 95% real.
They seem to have funny arms, as they do in NBA Live 06.
Truly next gen?

Assuming you have a 360, you can download the demo. I wasn't
super-impressed with the graphics, and the gameplay left me puzzled. It
felt like the boxers were fighting underwater. Totally unnatural.
Call of Duty 2 or PGR3 look better. Well, modeling people is
super-hard, because the closer you get to "real", the creepier they look
when they don't exactly match your expectation.
Speaking of how next-gen games look, Madden looked *awful*. The
uniforms had a shiny, plastic look to them and the turf was very flat
looking.
Word of warning: This is all on a non-HD TV. I wonder if some of these
development teams are only testing them on big screen HDTVs? Simple
stuff like fonts being unnecessarily tiny and hard to read make me think
so. I'd swear they need to get out of their cubicles and into living
room environments.

I would disagree with your statement RE visuals. FN Round 3 is one of the
BEST looking games I have ever played from a "realistic" point of view. The
HUD being removed helps GREATLY - I am hugely impressed.
Now Gameplay, not sure yet. It's fun, but slower paced than I would have
expected (I only have access to the DEMO players, heavyweights - go figure).
I think it might turn out to be a cracking game, going to buy when out
here - anyone have a date?
Badass.

Overall amazing graphics, but if the gameplay is the same as the demo then
it's a yawn.
