XBOX 360 still not in stores

| Does anybody know if xbox 360's are close to making it to stores or what,
because they still aren't in the major stores here like Best Buy, Wal-Mart,
Target, etc.

From reading posts here, it sounds like some units are making it to
stores, but aren't being put on display. You have to ask the clerks for
them.

| the 360 launch for Australia is less than a month away. My guess is their

I live in Cleveland and after asking about a half dozen places if they have
any 360's, (premium..not the core system) over the past few days i sorta got
pissed off and gave up. 3 months later and you still can't find
them....c'mon...., but i gave it one more shot and stopped in a different
Best Buy out here, and sure enough they had ten of them. Like the previous
post said, they weren't on display, i had to ask one of the salesboys.
i guess nobody though about asking, cause as soon as people saw me walking
around with one, there were three of standing in line each with a 360 under
their arm.
so, just call as many stores around you that you can think of, you'll
probably find one.

| I got kinda lucky, I had a list of 6 target stores on my desk and called
them every day. The 3rd day, 6 premiums came in, an hour later when I
arrived they had 2 left.
I opened a Target credit card on the spot and got an additional 10% off.
Then paid it off at the end of the month.
This was back in Janurary, and I haven't seen any on the shelves around
south jersey since... :-/

| Yeah, i walked into Costco for some other things, right after paying someon
ean extra $50 or something on CraigsList and saw that they had 10 or 15 of
them sitting there, in plain sight... I wish I had waited a day or two to
go to Costco.... ;)

| I talked to a clerk at some mall store (not Game Crazy, they went out
of business.. the other one that starts with Game that used to be "B
Dalton's Software Etc.") and he said they still haven't filled their
preorder list. They get about one premium per month with no core
systems. They've been selling the ones they get if they can't get in
touch with the preorders after one phone call.
Also, I tried Toys R Us again and they now have a sign stating that you
cannot purchase any 360 system alone. You MUST purchase it as a
package (with two games and another accessory) or they will not sell
you one. I'm pretty sure Microsoft would be pretty pissed to find this
out. Wish I could turn them in because they've generally been dicks to
me when I've asked about the 360 in the past.
I've mostly given up finding one, since the only game that looks to be
any good is the new Ghost Recon, and it isn't coming out until at least
March 2006. $399 is too much money for all this bother since the X-box
handles everything I remotely care about right now :-)

Come over here to Tokyo. I see piles of them on the shelves of my local
electronics shops (Yodobashi Camera, Bic Camera, Toys R Us, etc, etc).
Knowing better, of course, I just walk by them shaking my head and laughing.
MS isn't getting 1 yen outta my pocket for this system.

My local Future Shop had a bunch in this week. I went in to buy a CD,
discovered they had 360s in stock, and walked out with one under my arm and
$600 less in my bank account.

Yeh but the ones you're getting are the ones that we all returned here in
the US and Canada...hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
