XBox Power Indicator Light Flashes
|

| Last night whilst playing Halo2 Live my xbox locked up mid-game. After
powering my system off and turning it back on all I get is a blank
screen and the power light flashes green and red constantly.
I have unplugged, replugged, cooled, smothered, covered, chunked, and
sprinkled this thing. I can't get NUTHIN to work.
I read one of these forums where is an AV connection issue. Should I
try another AV cord?
Can someone throw me a frick-n bone over here? THANKS!!

| Smoke and a pancake??
Have you contacted xbox support?

| Not yet, the error happened late last night and I get shackled to my
desk at 7am. Hopefully I'll get time off for good behavior around 4pm.
I probably call those fella's this afternoon.
I just had my XBox in for NIC repair about 3 months ago and it cost me
a pretty penny. Do you know if they give any sort of extended warranty
once the xbox has been worked on by their support?

| I would think XBox should still honor the warranty even after your XBox has
been repaired once, especially if it's within 1 year! It concerns me to
hear that you already sent the unit to Support once for repair and now you
have additional problems. I'd recommend trying another AV cable and see if
that remedies anything.
Here are some KB articles relating to XBox 360 which may help:

If his console was repaired 3 mos. ago and he had to pay that would have
to be a V1 console.

| You are corrrect. It is a V1 console. I am about to call XBox support
tonight and see if I have any options. I certainly expect that I will
have to pay for another repair this time as well. Which is making me
lean toward borrowing my 1st year med school buddy's xbox (he doesn't
need it this year) or BUY A 360!! Good excuse right?
One Development: The console came back to life today and I was able to
play Halo 2 Online for half of a game before it locked up and did the
same thing.
I will attempt to try one of my friends AV cables as well. Thanks for
the suggestions.

| I contacted support and it seems to be something with the BIOS. The
machine will come on and I can play for awhile.... But XBox support
agreed to fix it for a discounted rate. It is amazing what a little
flirting will do for you.. haaha. Or maybe it was sympathy that I had
just sent it in a few months ago.

| Good news! Glad to hear XBox will fix your box at a discounted rate.
Flirting definitely does the trick sometimes.... ;)
