I continually find hardware specs about the X-Box, covering the fact that it
has a network port...but what speed is it? Is it 100 Mb/s or 1 Gb/s?

I want to get a few of these and hook them up via 1 GB/s to my MCE box and
stream HDTV content to them and I suspect that 100 mb/s might not get the
job done.

It's a standard 100MB port.

You can stream HDTV though a fast wireless connection, so a Wired connection
is no problem! In fact I do it almost daily with a wired connection
streaming all my HDTV shows I record on my PC. Works great. Only using a
regular 100 Mb Netgear Router.
I know there was a limit of 5 Media Extenders per computer, but I don't know
if that's for just SDTV only or also HDTV. I don't see a problem streaming
at least 2 on the network, maybe 3 in HDTV at once with a wired connection.
Having a Gigabit Network hooked to a Gigabit computer connection might help
with Max 5 MCE at once, but haven't tried. I would contact MS and find out
that way to be sure. In any case the Xbox and 360 both are just 10/100 Mb/s
Ethernet ports.
