ask about the frame rate. Design manager Gareth Wilson takes the question.
"This version's running at 30 frames per second. We're aiming for 60." Does
he think they'll hit it? "We'll see how we go. It's all about timings. If we
had four months we could get it running at 60. It's whether we've got the
time." With precious time to reflect even on that, the conversation lurches
in another direction.........."

I F#CKING KNEW IT!
30 FPS AGAIN!

If it stays at 30FPS they can shove it up their A-Holes.
Too many racers are coming out to waste my money on a 30FPS racer.

Then don't buy the games - vote with your pocket.

Absolutely. Bizarre Creations need to wake up and smell the coffee.
People in their forums are furious about it and yet their responses seem
like they not very concerned at all. They seem to be just a bunch of car
rendering lovers rather than racers.

The version we got to see was about one month old now (latest "stable"
build) and it was already much better than what I got to see in Leipzig.

This build was running at 30 fps but sometimes it was difficult even for
trained eyes like mine to be sure it wasn't 60 fps thanks to the excellent
motion blur.

The Bizarre team seemed very confident about the game being ready for
launch, and it also seemed that the game running at 60fps is still very much
possible.

They said virtually the same thing about PGR2. The saviour of the crappy
30fps framerate in that case was going to be the anti-aliasing according
to the marketing department and yet it still looked juddery enough to give
me a headache after any length of time.

You can bet that when they start talking about 'motion blur' that they're
desperate and preparing their excuses for yet another damage control
exercise.

it's clear that you don't know what motion blur is
if you look in fluid dvd, cinema, tv film @ 24 fps, is because there is
motion blur between the frames, it sin't an "effect" in the frame, but it
fill the gap between the frames

So how do you play any games at all then? Not all of them are running at
60fps.

I'm more worried by the fact that there's been no ingame realtime
footage of it available yet, even though plenty of reporters have seen
it being played.... Why don't they turn their camcorders on so we can
see for ourselves how it looks?!
