HD not as important.....

| from a gameplay perspective, the 360 shipping without a hd, isn't the factor
it was with the xbox. the 360 has a ridiculous 512 mb of ram.....8x what
the original has, so the need to cache and spool info from the hd really
isn't relevant anymore. the increase in ram more than takes place, and
then some, of the xbox's hd. so...it's really no big deal from a gameplay
standpoint. downloads and in-game features are where this decision is going
to have the biggest impact. would the guys who programmed Forza put in the
paint detailing feature, which uses the hd, if not everyone who buys the
game will have access to it. probably not. will ubisoft support Ghost
Recon 3 with as many new downloadable maps as they have in previous
versions, maybe not. i'm a huge xbox fan and i'm certainly disappointed
that an innovative feature of the original, which really helped to
distinguish the xbox from it's competitors, has been reduced to a
peripheral....and we all know what happens to peripherals.
