| the latest word on Ridge Racer 6 is that it will get released this fall,
which would make it an Xbox 360 launch game, or at least that comes out
during the "launch window" of November-December. Ridge Racer 6 would
therefore possibly be there at the Japanese launch from day one, like
Ridge Racer games have been traditionally for Playstation systems in the
past.

Rumor mill says Microsoft's been pushing the release of Namco's Ridge Racer
6 alongside Xbox 360's launch, but until now, there's been nothing to
substantiate the speculation - now there is. Namco's distributed an updated
release calendar for their current line-up, and lo and behold, Ridge Racer
6's listed as a Fall 2005 release.
If Namco hits their target date, props to Xbox 360; it's a substantially
demoralizing blow towards PlayStation 3 and one of its 'locked up'
franchises.
