PS3 demos and stuff
|
|
|
| After watching all PS3 technical demos here:
http://games.kikizo.com/features/e32005videos.asp I can't but wonder what
really is the big yahoo is. None of the demos look anything special, and
certainly nothing a current PC couldn't do (which is no surprise since the
demos were actually running on a PC)!!
All the game demos were prerendered, so those have no merit.
In the end, a bunch on fan boys and reporters-without-a-clue believed Sony
hype (once again). One would think that they would learn not to trust Sony
after PS2 Toy-Story-In-Real-Time fiasco, but apparantly not.
I guess these are the same people who buy Mr Jobs' "G5 is the fastest and
the first 64-bit cpu" lies at face value....
Oh well, it's a free society. People have the right to be lied to, and to
believe those lies.

Yup and he's going to have to "switch" them all back to thinking Intel
Inside. ;-)

| Too true. Mac fans have been programmed to be so anti-PC, I'm not sure
Apple fans will go willingly into this era. This move doesn't help Sony
either, in my opinion. I mean, a lot of people expected Apple to move to
the IBM/Sony PowerPC "Cell" architecture under the assumption that it was
indeed more powerful than mortal man has ever seen. Obviously it didn't
hold any allure for Apple. Kind of funny, Steve Jobs is touting the
Pentium4 as the best CPU. J Allard is touting the PowerPC as the best CPU.
CNN is expected to report flying pigs at any moment now.

All of those suposed XBOX360 demos were running on kiosks at E3 on G5 macs
hidden underneath. So even microsoft was faking it.
Then agin, the Xbox360 is basically just a G5 anyways

-Then again, MS said so much (they said all demos are running on PCs, at 25%
of the final power). Sony said demos are running on real time (they weren't)
on real hardware (nope). So they were able to actually put 2 huge lies on
one sentence, and the fan boys ate it all up! Amazing how stupid some people
are.

-Ups! You just proved that a) you nothing about XBox 360 or b) the CPU. How
sad.
