| I love this game, but there sure are some improvements I'd like to see on
FM2.
- Menus. You're about to start a race, but decide you wanna change the
difficulty settings? You have to back out several layers of menus, make the
changes, and go back (again several menus). So it might take some 30-45
seconds just to make that change.
The same can be said when restarting a race. Restarting should be immediate.
Now you go through what seems like Restart race -> Really? -> Yes -> Are you
really sure -> YES! -> Ok? -> Ok!!!!!! -> What was is you wanted to do? ->
REstart -> Ok? -> YEs damn it! -> Ok -> Start new race? -> Yes -> Ok? ->
Ok... etc etc
When you're driving a really difficult race and crash on the last lap, you
REALLY want to go through 34 different menus and confirmations before you
can restart. And naturally you are forced to see the 3-2-1 countdown
everytime. So from selecting restart it seems to take about 15 seconds to
get on with the race again. No, MGS, it _should_ be instant. Losing a race
on the last lap (on the last corner) is really frustrating as it is, the
menu system in FM makes it even more tempting to throw XBox out of the
window...
For some reason (I might be wrong here since a lot of engineers were on this
thing), but it seems weird buing a great race car with all the improvements
money can get (>10.000 for tires alone), and yet my real-life Nissan seems
to have better brakes.
Try fitting a Corvette C6 with the best tires, brakes etc, and it still
seems that the US Nimitz has better braking and cornering....
-Color choices. The suggested line is a nice thing, but green and red? What
about people (like me) who have difficulties seperating green and red? On
some tracks the track is (of course) grey, but so is the grass, which seems
to be mix of green, grey and brown. So on many occasions running with the
suggested line is the only way do drive if you want to see the track!!!
And no, there's nothing wrong with my eyes (besides the
red-green-blindness), several of my friends have been complaining about the
same color-problems on FM.
It's still the best simulator on any platform, but there is room for
improvements.

| LOL! The one which throws me is you've selected the vehicle and track, the
game does the "qualifying" and sets the starting grid - THEN you select the
car setup? Excuse me, but I always thought tuning and setups were done
prior/during qualifying and actually had a bearing on the qualifying
performance. I have an absolutely stock setting on a D1, qualify first and
then add my modifications to it? Seems to me that's wrong.
And the menu items do drive me a bit crazy. I'd like to see more items
available, like a Go to Garage Now - splitting through a bunch of menus - or
a Go Live! from any location.
