| Will the XBox 360 support writing of games using managed code and languages?
Ie, will it contain the .NET framework and Managed DirectX?

IIRC in the easly days they did look at basing the 360 off ML
intermediate compiled code. Of course the problem with this is, unless
you build a custom processor that runs ML native (e.g. like the Java
CPUs) you end up with a huge performance hit.
I wouldn't be supprised if dev kits could do this for debugging though.
As for managed code, what would be the point? Managed code plays wells
for environments where you can have lots of rouge/malware or badly coded
apps, not really a games console evnironment where you have tightly
controlled apps that need to get all the performance possible and don't
have to significantly interract with other processes.
