Problems with Doom3.

| Here is a really strnge issue I am having with my X-Box.
While playing the game or starting the game (intro Landing on Mars); my
X-Box will either play the audio very choppily and show NO video, or it will
show video and play audio but freeze every coulpe of seconds. Bringing up
the PDA in game causes it to do the audio and video pause. Just "walking"
in game will cause it to pause. I have had the console connected via the
RF, normal and HD cables and it does not change. Halo 2 does something
similar. I have sent the unit back 3 time for this issue, and it is still
happening. The game works great in two other units the were made around the
same time as mine.
Anyone with suggestions?

The only games that give me the trouble are Doom3 (always) and Halo2 (at
level load and sometime mid-level). I have tried another copy of Doom3 and
have the same issue. I have deleted everything on the HD and tried, still
stuttering. The unit will play DVD movies just fine.
The DVD drive is a Thompson.
Thanks for the reply!

For some reason, your Xbox is having problems playing your game. You have
solved half the equation (game works in other units), but the other half (do
other games work in my unit) is unknown. As it is it seems that your drive
is faulty, despite being serviced. But you will not know for certain that
an aggravating but possibly useable condition exists until you can verify
the second half of the equation IMHO. ( That is, certain discs have
trouble, not all of them).
