| Hello,
I bought my Xbox in March 2003. For the last two months its been crashing
(red light etc) so I've decided to get it fixed.
I phone Xbox in the UK and the guy said it would cose £78 plus shipping, and
seeing as how a new Xbox costs £90 and you get a free game with it I said
that was pretty crap, and he agreed and said it was pretty awful.
Does anyone know how I can get it fixed without spending a stupid amount of
money on it. I've been reading on various forums tat the reason its died is
that Microsoft were using Thompson harddrives now replaced by Samsung ones.
My point being, if Microsoft acknowledge there was a problem, why do I have
to pay to get it fixed?
I've got the number for the Microsoft office in Reading UK, can anyone give
me a name of who to either complain to or someone who can sort me out.
Anyone else have similar problems??

| Ours is a March 2002 model and it spends most of its life saying that the
disk is dirty or damaged when there is absolutely nothing wrong with the
disk....and often the video is jerky. Doesn't matter if it is an old or new
disk...same problem.
Probably have to replace the old bugger...
