| Hi.
I wonder if any of you connect to the internet (Xbox Live) with a
wireless device.
I have a NETGEAR ADSL modem-router. Desktop is connected via cable
ethernet, laptop is connected via wireless.
I'd like to connect my xbox via wireless too.
Any advice welcome.
thanks in advance. Can't wait to join you in LIVE games soon :-)

| Andrea -
I use the linksys wireless game adapter to connect to my ADSL.
I have the following system:
2 computers connected to a wireless router/hub by cable
Xbox connected to a wireless bridge which connects into the wireless
router
notebook connected via wireless adapter to the wireless router.
The above all works great. I use wireless encryption, so to make it work, I
connected the wireless bridge to one of my computers and set it up using a
direct cable. After that, all I had to do was type in the adapter addresses
of the xbox and the wireless bridge. All I did then was click connect on
the xbox and it did the rest.
You can get either a linksys wireless bridge or you can still find the one
that microsoft made (in some stores). I understand that dlink makes one as
well.
Good luck!
Fred.

| You could always use the cheapie version as well -- since your laptop
connects up wirelessly, you can use Internet Connection Sharing in Windows
XP to put your XBox online. I did that a while before I purchased the
LinkSYS Wireless Gaming Adapter.

Are you saying I could connect xbox via cable to my laptop, and use
its internet connection sharing??
That would be great and very cheap, wow !
I think I'll try that first. Every other wireless adapter I found is
not cheaper than 90 euro...
thanks !!!

| If your laptop runs Windows XP, it should be fairly easy to do. Check out
the information on Internet Connection Sharing here:
