What is the best game, Halo 1 or Halo 2 and why?

Thanks

That's subjective, Jose. If you've played Halo before, then Halo 2 isn't
the same "wow" factor that Halo was. If you haven't, starting with Halo
would be the right choice. Once you've played Halo, you know the
controller, you have developed skills and theories how to best handle the
game, and Halo 2 doesn't carry so many surprises. It is still very, very
good.

I personally enjoyed Halo 1 more; this isn't to say Halo 2 is a bad game
(far from it), but I found H1 to have a better story & better pace. If
you don't own either yet, I'd recommend picking up H1 and maybe a couple
other good older games for the price of H2. I imagine you can find H1
new for about $20 this holiday season (and even less used), but I doub't
you'll see H2 for anything below $40 any time soon. I should probably
state that I'm not really into Live! but I do play with 4+ players
frequently (LAN party -- my roommate also has an XBox). Also my brother
(13) also likes H1 more (I'm 21).

I preferred halo 1, however this may be slightly biased as we used to have
"halo night" and anywhere from 7 to 30 people would come over for about 12
hours and we'd hang out, eat pizza, play what ever new game came out, and
then play halo till everyone passed out. We had 3 Xboxes in the house, and
normally 3 more would be brought over, sometimes more, sometimes less. And
at times we had 3 different halo system link games going at once. We did
this every weekend, usually on Friday night. This went on for maybe 8 or 10
months. now I don't have live, and I don't talk to any of those people
anymore. It took me 6 days to take the time to beat halo 2's campaign, not
because it took me long to do it, just that I was not as interested in
playing it I guess. Where as I would often replay the first halo's campaign
in co-op with a friend. I've probably beaten the first halo around 200 or
300 times from beginning to end, with or without co-op mode. but I just
don't really feel like playing halo 2 now that I played through it once. (I
do have urges to find a copy of halo 1 though) but either way the
multiplayer aspect is probably what makes halo 2 shine. even with the
complaints everyone has.
