| My suggestion is to save up for it. If you can afford it, if not save away.
Many stores allow layaway plans.

| Last night a special on TV said that there is one map in H2 that you could
fit all of the maps from H1 in. It's supposed to have many more levels too,
so I doubt it is 'too short.'

How many times did you play Halo through though? Me? I've lost count.
They're saying 10-15 hours on 'normal' well ex-Halo players (or anyone with
experience with FPS') shouldn't be playing on normal for a start because you
can just blow everyone away before you. 10-15 hours, wasn't that about the
same as Halo 1 anyway?
The ending apparently is disappointing... What that means who knows, but
the only reason the story has been bashed so much is because it follows the
Covenant too and is generally much more involving then Halo 1, ie <puts on
Gamespot voice> I'm a hardcore action player I don't wanna know sod all
about the Covenant I just wanna shoot crap.
I think it's just a case there is so little wrong with the game they're
having to find something to complain about.

I prefer to be one of those people that use the glass for target practice...
with dual blasters, of course.

Seemed just as long as Halo 1 to me.

The ending is a cliffhanger. You think, "great - I get to kick XXX now"
but then they roll the credits. It's not that bad. I liked it. It
already whets my appetite for Halo 3, and makes me want to play through
Halo 2 many more times.
And I would imagine that the script writers and concept artists are
already hard at work on Halo 3, while the poor programmers and testers
take a well-deserved rest. I don't think we'll see anything for E3
2005, but then again... who knows? (Wishful thinking there... It'll
surely be E3 2006 or later...)

| I just started playing Halo 2 last night. (i'd still be playing if I hadn't
forced myself to put down the controller)
IMHO .. I think its outstanding, the story is awesome.
I love how it feels like I'm involved in a movie .. and seeing both sides is
fantastic.
I was taken completely by surprise by the alien side of the game (trying to
not give away too much for those that haven't played yet)
I'm playing at normal level right now, but like with Halo 1 for Xbox (and
then I got it for PC) ... I'll go through each level of difficulty.
This game, so far, lives up to my expectations and then some.
I mean, double fisted shooting ... sweeeet ... collateral damage .. even
more sweet .. awesome how when you toss a grenade and the crates and other
parts of the environment are effected.
