Offical Burnout 3 update news

| On the main xbox live screen of the game GOTO the news section and it has a
new statement about the new updates they have applied to the game.

Coolness - a great game with a needed online patch. But on another note it
seems that one thing the industry had avoided (console video games with
similiar patch cycle to PC games) is coming upon us, complete with a
pre-built status indicator of current patches ( said news section ). Again,
Burnout 3 is a great game, but the other is, IMHO, inevitable. And it
impacts all developers that provide online gaming, which is becoming all of
them. The big question is if such a readily available patch cycle will lead
to shoddy initial products with many promises for patches at some
indeterminate date, which may or may not come. After all, a patch is
created well after the profit is collected and will cost some of that profit
in the short term...

You heard it here first. EA have now broken down the barrier that stopped
developers from doing this.
If the game crashes as often as B3, it's not fit for purpose, no matter what
it says in the EULA.
