Author NOT SUPPORTED MODE error

hi-

for some reason, mty xbox 360 started delivering the above error, no
rhyme nor reason. it worked one day, the next it did not. does anyone
know how to fix this?
p.s.-it worked a couple times after receiving the error, maybe 3% of the
time. i tried a new set of cables from the 360 to the t.v.-same result
help!!!! it's now been 2 weeks.

Have you contacted Xbox Support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX?

yeah, i did, they told me to try a known good set of cables(WHICH I
DID). i could tell the tech had no idea what he was doing. figured i'd
try here as a better alternative.

I'd call back, tell them you've done all the proper troubleshooting (you
have attempted to change the output settings in the Dashboard, correct?). I
know if I attempt to run in 720p, my HD TV gives me green lines, because the
set itself - not the Xbox 360 - won't run in that mode. 8-) You may be
having problems with the graphics card.
