Sorry for the cross post.

Rented my first movie on XBOX Live. Originally I thought you had to download
the complete movie before watching but after about 45 secs, it said it was
ready to be played. The video quality was that of a DVD. It was easy to
purchase and the overall experience was pretty darn impressive!

Nice to hear of the functionality. I hadn't paid enough attention to know
that it is buffered at a certain point. Thanks for posting.

It's buffered and you can start playing after a bit, but you can't FF or
anything until it's DONE! Which does kind of suck. I don't want to sit
though the Intro/Credits and just start watching the Movie or TV show, but
you can't. I hope MS will fix this in the future.

Have you ever watch a Movie on the Internet as a Example. My Download speed
is fast enough that it downloads FASTER then I'm actually watching the
movie. Well I can just click on a spot further ahead that's already been
downloaded as long as I don't click on a part that hasn't been downloaded
yet. Same thing. I should be able to FF up to the part it's already
downloaded if I wanted, not wait until the WHOLE thing is done before I do
that. Why watch the same Intro on the same TV show over and over again. I
already know what it is, I'd like to be able to skip right on past it. If I
have already downloaded 30 minutes of a 50 min show, why can't I FF 2
minutes? This needs to be FIXED. If it can PLAY while it's downloading,
then this should be possible!

Easy. Designate chapters and during playback buffer the beginnings of
each chapter. Would feel much like a DVD playback experience.
