Author Firewall Issue - WSOP

Hi All,

I have the latest World Series of Poker and have an issue hosting games.
The XBOX 360 is behind an Enterprise class firewall that doesn't allow any
inbound initiated traffic to it.

The problem is, when it tries to host a game, it locks up the system. Or,
while in the middle of online play, if the host shifts to me, it kicks me out
of the room.

I'm guessing its because there are no inbound connections allowed. Anyone
know what port number I can open to the xbox 360 to allow hosting? Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks.

Put your 360 into the firewall's DMZ.

I only have one IP address and other servers are hosted behind that IP so I
can't. Any idea what port numbers need to be forwarded?

MS KB908884 tells you what ports to forward if you need to do so:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908884

If your router support UPnP and it's turned on, then port forwarding is
not needed. In your case you probably don't have access to UPnP.

Russ Smith has a great blog entry on the nuts and bolts of why he
thinks some internet connections, as they are set up, are doomed to
incompatibility with Xbox Live.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yes you need to forward ports TCP 3074 and UDP 88 & 3074.
That should fix your problem!
