wireless mtu problem
|
|
|
| I've got the xbox 360 microsoft wireless adapter and it says mtu fails every
time i try to test. it says the setting for mtu must be 1364 or better. my
router is a Sonicwall and the mtu is already higher/1500. if i change the
mtu in the WAN on the sonicwall to make it less like in the 1400s it breaks
the net basically to crappy performance and still does nothing on the 360.
MS says it's not compatible with the sonicwall. is this true? is there
anything i can do to fix this side of getting a new router side of using
ethernet which already works fine.

| I am sure not listed devices are compatible. Otherwise you'd be hearing more
even then now, of problems.

| even though its not compatible or "certified" doesn't mean that it wont work.
you need to work with router. i would recommend that you set the wireless
adapter to defaults, then live support and ask them whats the smallest mtu
needed to connect wireless connector to the internet. then use that setting
in the router.
