| Does anyone know if the "Live" subscription will be able to be transferred
over to the new 360? I'm coming up for renewal and we don't really play
that much so it would be easy for me to wait for the 360 and then sign up
again.

| I believe that as a current subscriber, you'll be eligible to upgrade
(don't know if there's a price difference or not) to the gold level (or
whatever the paid level is called). I don't think you're going to lose
out by paying now (unless you're really not going to play Live until
then... say it ain't so ;-). I would imagine that current (i.e.
mid-year) subscribers would get a pro-rated or reduced fee upgrade vs.
a new subscriber.
Can anyone confirm?

| Existing subscribers will be transferred in as "Gold" members. However, we
should remember that Xbox 360 is probably slated for Fall/before Christmas
time, so if a subscription is ending in July, it would be good to renew it.

| Thank you for the quick reply. I already read the press release, it still
doesn't state what's goung to happen to current XBL accounts.

| Chris, could you please provide a link to the "Silver and Gold" membership
benefits. From what I've read it's nothing more than a rumor at this point.
From what J. Allard said (forget where) current XBL subscribers will have
their accounts roll over to the 360.

| Read the information here:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/e32005/20...3=pressbriefing
"Xbox Live memberships will transfer seamlessly from Xbox to Xbox 360 when
the new system launches."
From what I've read, existing accounts will be converted to Gold accounts
(same access as we've got now) and all new Xbox 360 users will have a Silver
account - first 30 days free, then only weekends after that.
