Actually, I just started using GUI mail clients a couple of years ago
once I satisfied myself that I could get to my mail through a web
interface at the very least. I don't know of any equivalent approach
to reading usenet, which is why I ssh into a shell account. Which
means Gnus, since I went through the trouble of learning how to drive
it and all. :^)
