Hey guys,

Im trying to find a way to hook my xbox to my computer to get an
xbox live connection. My computer is conected wirelessly to a router. So, i
went to bestbuy and bought a systemlink cable. I know he system link cable
is a crossover cable. I connected one end of the cable to my xbox and the
other end to my computer. I told the computer to do internet connection
sharing and i put the right ip address on me xbox. Now the xbox its saying
that the cables are not connected.

PLease help!!!

Depending on what operating system you're running on your computer, you
"might" be able to use Internet Connection Sharing for your Xbox with it.
However, the cross-over cable would be wrong. You would need to have a
regular Ethernet cable, connecting to a Network Interface Card on the
computer which has been specifically set up to share the Internet connection
via ICS. See http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/connect/choose.htm .
