Hi x-bb,

You still having problems?
If so, some extra info would be useful:
What is not recognizing the connection - PC, Xbox or both?
What operating system are you using?
What are you using for your wireless connection?
Have you set up the PC for home networking?
Have you set up ICS?

TigerTiger is spot on, unless you use a hub/switch which will do the
crossover for you from straight-thru cables, you will need a crossover
cable. Chris H pointed you to the connection site, one of the pages is this
http://www.xbox.com/en-nz/live/star.../default.htm#q5 which shows
the difference in cables. Note that the colour of the cables isn't really
important as its only the sheaths, you just need to make sure that the
relative positions of the cable ends are correct. I say this because I've
seen different sheath colours on different cables. Unless you have a pair of
rj45 pliers and a spare plug I would not recommend trying to do this
yourself.

I'm no expert but I'll help if I can.

Zig
