| We have a wireless router connected to the web.
A pc has a USB wifi connector and a standard network card.
The PC connects to the web via the usb wifi connector.
We connect the net work card to a hub and the Xbox to the hub.
The xbox cannot make a connection.
If we enable internet connection sharing on the network card we lose the
internet.
same if we bridge the 2 connextions.
same if we set the network connect to a fixed IP.
If we enable intenet sharing on the usb wifi connector we get an ip
conflict.
Any suggestions??

Internet Connection sharing has to be enabled on the usb connection (this is
your internet connection)
IF your having problems connecting via the ethernet connection to the pc
over this then it is likely to be conflict with ICS and the router,,, some
routers prefer to be your only access to the internet...
What type of cable do you have connecting the xbox to the pc is it
definitely a 'cross over' cable (which is required), or is a standard
straight through 'patch cable'? this may be the cause of the problem...
What is stopping you from connecting the xbox to the router??
with the xbox connected can you post the contents of your ipconfig /all to
this message to show what it is picking up... If I remember correct ICS will
show your pc to xbox connection as being 192.168.0.1 with the xbox then
needing the next number... is the xbox set to auto detect?

Stuart
