Feature request: route all xbox live audio to speakers
|

| I'd like to submit a formal feature request to Microsoft for an update
to Xbox Live, preferably for the current Xbox model, but if that's not
possible, then for "Xbox 2". Is there an address I can send my request to?
This is my request: I would like to be able to configure my Xbox so that
*all* Xbox Live voice output goes to my speakers. Currently, this is
something that only some games can do. For example, I can do this in
Halo 2, but not in Mech Assault 2. I think this is a feature that
should not be game-specific.
The reason why I'm asking is that without this feature, it's almost
impossible to play Xbox Live while wearing headphones. For Halo 2, I
wear my communicator around my neck and just keep the microphone near my
mouth. I can still talk into the microphone, and Halo 2 automatically
mixes voice audio with game audio and sends that to my headphones.
With Mech Assault 2, I have to wear my headphones OVER my Live
communicator, and that's very uncomfortable.
At the very least, please update Mech Assault 2 so that I can route Live
audio to the speakers. It's the only Live-enabled game I play that his
this problem. I don't play MA2 that much specifically because of this
problem. Which reminds me, how can I send a formal feature/bug report
to the developers of MA2?

| Your post was announced in one of your other newsgroup threads. Head over
to the Xbox forums, where there's a specific forum for Mech Assault 2.

I already tried that:
http://forums.xbox.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=11382246
I got two kinds of responses:
1. Nasty posts that were edited by a moderator
2. People agreeing with me that it doesn't work.
There was no indicating that anyone from MS or Day 1 read the thread at
all. Not only that, but that particular forum is so active that the
thread disappeared from the front page in a matter of hours.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't think that anyone at MS or Day 1 even
knows that it's an issue. Based on other things I've read about MA2, it
looks to me like there are A LOT of bugs that need to be fixed, and
fast. I'm hoping that my "bug" is on that list.
So what do I do now?

| The Xbox folks monitor the forums over there, and you'll probably see a
response.
