| Can anyone tell me roughlt how much traffic XBOX live generates?
A lot of UK broadband providers offer capped services - e.g. 1GB per month.
I just wondered what this equates to in XBOX live terms?
TIA,

Typically it will use between 128kbps to 256kbps, although with bigger games
more data will flow, then you get how does the ISP measure bandwidth usage,
downstream only, or upstream too?
If we assume they measure upsteam and we say upstream is 100kbps and your
downstream is 200kbps then you'd be looking at about 135MB per hour, so you
could pretty much use all of your bandwidth for a month in like an
afternoon.
My advice avoid capped services. Put the extra 5 quid in to getting an
uncapped service. They screw us over with absolutely rubbish bandwidth in
this country (everywhere should be on at least 10Mbps BOTH WAYS). Don't let
them get away with "capped" services (if you can call it a service).

Thanks Paul.
I have BT's business broadband which is uncapped and I don't know how to
measure my xbox traffic [2wire router], so I couldn't answer this one
myself.
My friend is considering Wanadoo level one [capped at 2gb a month] but I
don't know how they measure it.
