I have almost the same setup. the thread is a couple of lines below you on
this message board.

I think the MN-740 has a firmware update available.

I updated the firmware on both my MN-740 and my WRT55AG. then set
everything up for DHCP, 64bit WEP, and the rest of the settings are
similar to yours. And it works fine.

try updating the firmware on the MN-740. that might do it.
