| You may have a different page, but try taking a look at the information
here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Live/Connect/default.htm As for local
information, you may want to browse through the Xbox forums to find what
users are doing in your specific area.

| I'm planning to get broadband and xbox live up and running later this year
(if I get it now, I won't leave the house all summer!) and would like some
basic advice...
Best Broadband supplier
- I have a bt landline
- Does the monthly limit you see on a lot of offers pose a problem for the
xbox?
- I don't necessarily want a free modem as I am happy to buy stuff
separately and set it all up
- What sort of speed do I need to get for the xbox games to work well?
Wireless Connection - I would ideally like to go wireless for the following
reasons...
- I have one computer upstairs running Win98 - this is my main machine and
I would rather like to avoid yet more cables going up and down the stairs
- I often have the works laptop at home as well and would like this to have
a connection too
- the xbox is downstairs
- the main phone socket it also downstairs
....therefore, what modems, routers, filters, etc., would you recommend for
this sort of set up (for both wireless and wired options). The laptop would
need a card if wireless, but otherwise is already set up - the desktop would
need a card/gizmo regardless of the type of connection.
I realise that I'm asking for a lot of info (that have probably already been
covered in previous threads), but I can't get a straight answer to any or
all of the above by asking the so called 'professionals' in various stores
and outlets.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
