Got my son XB live for Christmas and he is telling me that he can't hear
the othe players thru his headset. Can someone point me in the right
direction as to how this is to be setup and how it works? Also, is this
a problem with the communicator?

If you are connected to your broadband via router/switch, make sure ports
for XBOX Live are open...

a.. Kerberos-Sec (UDP); Port 88; UDP; Send Receive
b.. DNS Query (UDP); Port 53; Send
c.. 3074 UDP Send/Receive
d.. 3074 TCP Outbound
I had the same problem when I first hooked up because my router was not
compatible. I now have a Linksys which works great.

Good Luck

Make sure the light is green on the module, and that the volume is turned
up. You may also want to see if voice is enabled in the account option in
the dashboard. What game(s) are you trying this with?

Halo2 and all that you sugested is also done. I took back the
communicator and exchanged it for a new one and it seems to be working
fine. Again Thanks for all the help!
