Author Questions about updates from X-box Live

I was wondering if I download new updates i.e. rosters for sports games, and
new levels for games like splinter cell, do I have to keep an X-box liove
account, or can I use a friends account, and save the updates to my own
x-box?

Downloadable content is provided as a paid benefit as part of your Xbox Live
subscription. Using someone else's Live account (if you do not have one) to
download content for your system is effectively software piracy as you are
not paying for the content as you do not have a Xbox Live subscription.

A simple "no" would have sufficed ;-)
