| I have a wireless router and want to get XBox live. If I purchase the
wireless adapter, do I need to get anything else (XBox live starter kit), or
can I just connect and sign up from my console?
Thanks

| You should see what is involved:
http://www.xbox.com/en-us/live/conn...&level3=connect
The various links from the page will let you know what you need to do.
Remember, not all Xbox games include "Live!" play, so you need to read the
descriptions before plunking down your money on games.

| Thanks - however, that doesn't answer my question totally. If I purchase the
wireless adapter, do I ALSO need to purchase the starter kit, OR can I log
in somewhere with the wireless adapter to subscribe??
Thanks

| See the details here:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/abou...t-retailers.htm Check out the
three-month starter kit, if you're unsure. There's a link on the site.

1) Your Xbox needs to talk to the internet. Do this anyway you would with
any other computer: wireless, Ethernet, etc.
2) Xbox Live is a subscription service. You pay a yearly or monthly fee to
be able to play. The Starter Kit has a subscription card included (3-month
or 1-year, depending on which Kit you get), may include a headset and
usually has an older game. The headset is not needed, but is recommended.
You can connect from your console without the starter kit. You will just
have to charge your credit card instead of using the subscription card in
the Starter Kit. I'm not sure if the cost is higher.
Enjoy.

| Possible answers to my question:
1. If you purchase a wireless adapter, you do not need a starter kit.
2. If you purchase a wireless adapter, you will also need a starter kit.
I thought it was a simple question - perhaps not.
I guess I need to buy the wireless adapter AND a starter kit (although
that's not apparent from any link you've sent).
