| I purchased an Xbox Wireless adapter. I have a LINKSYS wireless B/G router
WEP is enabled with 128bit key. Unfortunately my xbox cannot connect to the
router. I do see my wireless network Xbox is in the same room as router. I
have additional wireless devices that work (laptop/pc). can anyone help?
I've tried just about everything...thx in adv.

| Re-check the settings, and make sure you're in Infrastructure mode on the
Xbox.

the router, and do you have SSID broadcast disabled or enabled in the
router?

| ok. Here's what I did. I added the MAC address of the ETHERNET card on my
xbox (as well as wireless adapter MAC address) and it worked. I am filtering
by MAC addresses - not sure why you need both...but it works. thx guys.

| and if you have any kind of mac filtering enabled make sure you add the mac
address of the wireless adapter AND the xbox itself to the "approved" mac
address list, but powerplaya is correct also. Try to get it running without
WEP turned on first.
