something I noticed in the Halo3 trailer

| Did you notice how MC emerges from the smoke carrying the rifle he used in
the first Halo? I thought maybe he'd walk out with a gun from Halo2 like
dual-weilding a MSG or something, for continuity, but was surprised he was
holding the old Halo model (or something very much like it). Maybe this is a
hint as to how Halo3 will pan out...or then again, maybe Elvis will return
on Santa's sleigh just in time for Jesus's Second Coming.

It LOOKS like the same rifle but it is not. Watch some of the other halo 3
videos avaliable freely around the net and you will see that they talk about
it.

| I heard rumors though that there were enough people complaining about
not being able to use the assult rifle in halo 2 that they brought it
back. I dont know if it is true but that is what I have heard.

Were you playing CE on easy? The AR was only useful for taking down flood
spores or spraying an area with cloaked elites. It was by far the worst
human weapon in the game.

vary depending on what level you use it on. But in the middle I think
that the assult rifle is the best.

| Yes, of course what weapon is best varies depending on the situation. I was
saying that overall, all campaign levels and all multiplayer situations
considered, I think that the assault rifle is the worst weapon. The only
situation where I wouldn't rather have something else is getting rid of
Flood infection forms, and even then I generally don't devote any ammo to
them; I just stay on the edge of the swarm and punch them.
