| The first time I met them, I was trying to kill them with an Assault Rifle.
That doesn't work, as I quickly discovered. But considering the amount of
time it takes for them to charge their Fuel Rod Guns, I pretty quickly
figured that it would be easier to dodge if I was up close. Then, of course,
they beat me to death with their shields.
I died a few more times, but then I memorized their pattern, and after that
I've never had any trouble with them.
You can use Fuel Rod Guns in Multiplayer PC. They're slightly different
because you don't have to charge them, but they overheat and have limited
ammo. Also the projectile's arc seems a little steeper. And it would be
ridiculous to have the Master Chief lugging around a huge Hunter shield. He
might be able to lift it (he can flip over a tank while walking backward and
reloading), but just watching him carry it would be weird. And when would
you want a pure melee weapon? I'll take the Energy Sword in Halo 2, thanks.
