Does anyone have any idea what the purple Covenant "furniture" is for (apart
from cover)? I mean, why did the Covenant build all that? And why have they
placed it all over Halo? I know that some of them are communication units
(the ones that crackle with static when you're near them). There are lots of
those ones in 343 Guilty Spark, and one outside the Silent Cartographer
base. There's one inside the Silent Cartographer base that has an Elite
actually speaking into it. I usually melee him, as he's distracted and won't
notice you. But what is the rest of the stuff for? If it's all communication
equipment, the Covenant still wouldn't need to put it EVERYWHERE as they
seem to have done. Is it designed for cover? If so, it's a pretty bad
design. It works, but if cover was its purpose they could've done a lot
better. And why have they tipped over some of it? It's obviously very hard
to do, as no weapon, vehicle, or other thing you can do can move them.

well I think in the books it says that some are for communications, but my
brother said the bulk of them are like storage containers containing guns,
invisability and overshield devices, those sheild things that are just
uselessly all over the levels, and little grunts taht happened to make
elites mad.
