Anyone else seen the Blind mode yet? No its not a cheat, it was put there by
Bungie (thought id say that before the bitching started) as a new twist on
the game. There is a skull that you pick up in the begining of the level
Outskirts. When you pick it up the word Blind appears in the upper left
corner of the screen. By doing this, you completely disable your HUD...no
health bar, no scope, NOTHING! Its weird and cool at the same time. You can
get a good look at the levels without the hud in the way, but aiming can be
tricky at times! Im not sure if finishing the game like this does anything
special or not, but i plan on trying...once you enable this, you are able to
exit the level then skip to the last level and it will still be active and
will be until you shut off your xbox. If anyone is interested in knowing how
to do this, let me know and i can tell you how to get it! Has anyone else
done this?? Hopefully we will find more easter eggs like this, cause i think
its pretty cool!

Yup, it's been found. Cool, isn't it? Did you find it on your own?

Some of the other levels where skull have been found are:
The Arbiter, The Oracle, Metropolis, and Delta Halo.

They don't all have the same effects. For example, on Delta Halo, the skull
is called Envy, and when you hit the white button you turn invisible for 5
seconds, like the Arbiter. This one can only be found on Legendary, I think.

The one on The Arbiter is called Grunt's Birthday Party. With this skull,
when you kill an enemy, it explodes as if it was hit with a plasma grenade.

I think, therefore I make sure everyone hears about it.

I've found that skull there too. There are tons of skulls hidden throughout
the Campaign, each with some sort of effect. Blind Mode is one of them.
Beating the game with any of these "skull modes" on doesn't do anything, but
it gives you some cool bragging rights.

They're hidden all over the various levels. Look on GameFAQs for a complete
list. That's generally the best source of video game info.

How do you get the effects to go away and once you get the skull, and can you pick up a gun and still have the effects?

First, just log out of your profile to get rid of the effect, and second,
yes, you can pick up guns. The only thing that disables it is logging out
(or turning the power off).
