I haven't looked at Halo 2 tricks yet, so these have probably already been
done. But anyway:

On the mission "Uprising," I've managed to get on top of the level. That
was pretty cool; there are trees there that aren't connected to the ground.
They just hover about 3 feet above the ground.

On the mission Outskirts, I've gotten onto the rooftops (pretty easy), and
found power lines that aren't connected to anything; they just end in
midair above a roof, out of sight of the ground.

Is it just me, or did Bungie do a REALLY bad job of hiding the limits of
the map from you? In multiplayer, the ceilings are very, very low, making
Banshee-flying not very much fun. On Zanzibar, you can't wade past ankle-
depth into the ocean. On the outskirts, I managed to walk off three sides
of the map into the void just by jumping out of the set path! With a
grenade-jump, I made it to the fourth side of the map, and walked off it as
well. In addition, on the rooftops I found plenty of clipping problems,
lots of disappearing walls and buildings, missing textures, you name it.
And it was so easy, I found it impossible to believe that Bungie hadn't
done it themselves.

And if they HAD done it themselves, and left in so many glaring
deficiencies in the maps...well, that just doesn't speak well of the game.

if you look more closely in some of the levels, you will find that
there are many things that have been discovered. one level has a huge
soccer ball hidden on the rooftops, others have skulls (looks like the
oddball) that unlock special game modes, among other things. look
around on the internet for more information.
