The gameplay is good but the setup is crap.

I mistakenly thought it would be more like XIII where you could see who was
hosting and just jump into games.

The weakest part is that once a game is over, you can't continue with the
players you were just with, you get reshuffled into the mix.

What a disappointment.

Yesterday I had to wait over 5 minutes to get into a 'quick' match. WTF is
that all about?

Figure it has to sort you buy location (time zone), Ping rate, Level, etc.

These first few weeks might be kinda slow to get games off the ground
especially if you are a higher level. There are just fewer players,
because of the way it filters. Give it a little more time and games
will get off the ground much faster.

I think they are basically being purists - they don't want you playing
with or against the same people constantly in "open" games. I am not
sure, though. I do find myself wishing that you could stay with a team
for a few games at a time. At least, I find myself wishing that when
I'm on a team where everyone doesn't try to "defend" the base when
you're on offense, or the like - which still happens quite a bit at
certain times of day as people are hazy on rules and not paying
attention to the gametype. When I get on a good team, I would like to
stay on it for a while.

Can you not just use the party formation? Isn't that what Bungie was talking
about -- re taking your party with you into all kinds of games?

If you are in a Party you all stay together at the end of the game and the
host can change game types and you continue to play together. Yes others can
join your game but the party remains together
