| When I first played Halo, I have to admit I didn't like it. But it grew on
me and before long I was playing levels over and over cos they were so fun.
Well, I'm on "Sacred Icon" level 10 of Halo 2, and already I'm playing
different levels again just for the fun of it. I've got used to the new
look, style, and gameplay, and frankly I think it is out-doing Halo in many
ways. I also believe the cutscenes are well done, and are just the right
length. Some games, like MGS and MGS2 take cutscenes to the extreme. The
only major flaw is the frequent visual glitches in texturing....wtf is that
about??? Bungie techs - FIX IT, it's sub-standard for a game of this
magnitude! Having said that after a while you don't notice them, but they do
take the shine of it.
The level before "Sacred Icon" playing as the Covenant Arbiter was
strikingly similar to the "Library" Halo level, which annoyed me a bit, but
nonetheless I played it.
So far, I give it 8/10

I'm beginnin to love H2 more than CE, too. I have to admit when I first
played Silent Cartographer I was amazed by the scenery. But after
running around Earth in H2, I'd have to say that was a big jump!! And I
love how you can actually rely on the marines/elites to help you out
this time. One other thing I love is boarding. It's just way too fun to
rip an Elite out of his ghost and then shoot him downas he gets up. The
dual weild is cool too, but it takes getting used to. I've found dual
weilding needlers is pretty fun, it definitely adds to the visuals
seeing little grunts running around all pink and pretty (deadly).
I agree that the cut scenes do drop in frame rate sometimes but that's
just the xbox specs limiting it. I think Bungie did a real good job
making the graphics look so good even with the XBox's mediocre/poor
specs (it's basically a really old computer). The glitches is just a way
for Bungie to work around that issue, so I forgive you Bungie.
There is no doubt that the architecture is similar to the Library. It's
Forerunner/Covenant architecture! I'd be more surprised if it didn't
look like it.

I like it too. The problem with the visuals is that the game's graphic
engine was simply too much for the Xbox to handle. It continues loading
textures and details long after the game has started, and often you catch up
to the unloaded section, which will make you see what seem to be glitches.

Actually, they announced that no system but a really high-end PC could
handle their graphics engine. The Xbox has the best visual capacity of any
console.
