| It's time to make some room so I'm liquidating a bunch of vintage
war-related hardcovers and softcovers. These items cover a whole range
of military activity. Many of these books are over 50 years old! ALL
of these books are complete and readable. Let's call them "reader's
copies" so we don't fight over condition (although many are in much
better condition than that).
This is NOTan auction. Just looking for fair and reasonable offers.
WIll sell one, a bunch or ALL! (I'll also consider trades for any
complete wargame and/or Euro style game.)
The books are divided into hardcover and softcover sections and
further divided into era And now for the books!

Death of a Division by Charles Whiting (1981) - The tru story of
the 16,000 green troops of the US 106th Infantry Division, destroyed
in the Battle of the Bulge!
DeGaulle's France and the Key to the Coming Invasion of Germany by
James Marlow (no dust jacket as issued, 1940) - Published with World
War II barely a year old and the US still not at war. The book
postulates how the war will end - with the invasion of Germany!
Mustang at War by Roger A. Freeman (no dust jacket, 1974) - An
appraisal of and tribute to the Mustange, the "best all around fighter
of the Second World War". Lots of photos.
Up Front by Bill Maudlin (1945, no dust jacket) - No one has
captured the life of the American GI like Mauldlin in this classic
volujme illustrated with lots of the famous Maudllin drawings. TWO
copies available
Victory Through Air Power by Major Alexander P. de Seversky (1942)
- Tells how America can win World War II through the use of air power
written at a time when the US had suffered initial defeats while
outlining a specific victory strategy. A fascintating contemporary
book WITH black and white photos..
MODERN
Dictionary of Weapons and Military Terms by John Quick (no dust
jacket, 1973) - Large hardcover covering all phases of military
weaponry and strategy. Lots of photos too!
Helicopters and VTOL Aircraft by John W.R. Taylor - Profusely
illustrated volume on all types of vertical take off and landing
craft.
The US War Machine: An Encyclopedia of American Military Equipment
and Strategy edited by Ray Bonds (deluxe hardcover with dust jacket,
1983) - Everything you ever wanted to know about America's military
might. LOTS of photos and 95% of them in FULL COLOR!
War in Peactime: The History and Lessons of Korea by J. Lawton
Collins (First printing, 1969) - A definitive history of the Korean
War by the man who served as Army Chief of Staff through the war.

know about submarine launched ballistic missiles, surface to air
weapons systems, anti-submarine weapons and more! Lots of photos!
Strategy by B.H. Liddell-Hart (1967) - The classic book on military
strategy.
